Travelogue: Isla Gigantes' Salt Lagoon

"Paradise is hidden in each one of us, it is concealed within me too, right now, and if I wish, It will come to me in reality, tomorrow even, and for the rest of my life."
-Fyodor Dostoyevsky

HIDDEN PARADISE. Our third stop is a salt lagoon which they call “Tanke”. It is concealed behind those gigantic rocks, hiding its mystic beauty from the unadorned sight. When I saw it, I thought ---how can this possibly be? It seemed to be a pool at the middle of the ocean. Aahh it’s spectacular! I’m in awe. The water is soo clear that you could see the bottom. Too clear that I thought it’s pretty shallow but heck!!!! It’s deeper than I thought. We surely did enjoyed swimming and marinating ourselves there, harhar. I think among the islands we’ve been to, this is where we linger most.
And ohh... I found my family there---the monkeys!!! Lol, I am amazed! That place is so natural that even those apes which nowadays we usually found in the zoos are still living in their natural habitat. There are small fishes too that swam with us. Oh such a beautiful place that it makes feel like not leaving! If I could only stay any longer I would but we still have one more stop and it would be the last island which I don’t wanna miss out. And that of course I would tell on the next post so be sure to come back (^-^). See yah....
