GINA LACUNA's GUINNESS WORLD RECORD. The world's largest collection of jigsaw puzzle can be found in Tagaytay, Philippines. Last November 29, 2012, Ma'am Gina Lacuna was awarded by the Guinness World Book of Records. She was officially recognized as the world record holder with her 1,028 puzzles. Her passion in solving jigsaw puzzles blossomed into a world class pride and honor. A few months back, my Pao and I celebrated our 4 years anniversary and we decided to go for a road trip to Tagaytay. And one of our destination was this world renowned Puzzle Mansion.

This is the entrance going to the mansion. It is very steep! From afar, you could see the Blue mansion, I bet the owner's fave color is blue! We get there by car since the place is quiet secluded and the best way to get there is by private vehicle. If not, you could take public transportation and just follow the signs they have provided on the roads and highways. Here's a guide for you:

By Private Vehicle
1. From Metro Manila, take SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) and take Sta. Rosa exit.
2. Drive along Sta. Rosa –> Tagaytay Road.
3. Turn right when you reach Tagaytay –> Calamba Road.
4. Continue driving to Tagaytay –> Nasugbu Highway.
5. From Tagaytay Rotunda, signs on the road will guide you to the Puzzle Mansion. Don't worry if you go through narrow roads, you are on the right way. (remember the mansion is in a very secluded area) Just follow the signs!

Public Transportation
1. Take a bus going to Nasugbu, Batangas.
2. Sit on the right side of the bus and spot the signage of the Puzzle Mansion. Alight from the bus when you reach Maglabe Drive. To be sure, just ask the driver to drop you off at the Puzzle Mansion.
3. Take a tricycle ride to the Puzzle Mansion or wait for the Puzzle Mansion shuttle service picking up guests at the highway.

The puzzle mansion jeep/shuttle could accommodate around 15 persons which costs 10 pesos per head.
The first photo above, (sorry about the blurry photo, that's from my phone) that blue structure is where you could inquire for their rooms and tickets. The ticket is worth 100 pesos per head. At the reception, you could find clippings from the newspaper about the new world record.
This greeted us before we enter the mansion. You could take photos for souvenir at this area. (refer to the photo at the beginning of this article)
Before you enter the gallery, MAKE A WISH! ahahaha sorry just goofin!
Welcome to the Gallery of more than 250 framed puzzles and countless more 2D/3D/4D Puzzles!
At the gallery, the second largest puzzle (refer to the first photo) and hardest (i guess) puzzle by the owner greeted us at the front part of the room.
At this corner, just near the main door, you could find globes made of puzzles!! Oh by the way, this Puzzle Museum was originally a house converted into a museum.
Puzzles of all sizes and shapes are to be found inside!
Ma'am Gina's puzzle collections, also includes famous paintings of famous artist like the photo above. Pao and I have to do an obligatory pose at this display. It is a puzzle version of the "Starry Night" painting of Vincent Van Gogh!
The Sistine Chapel of Michael Angelo

This irregular puzzle looks really interesting!
And we're done at the first level!
At the second level of the house, you could find only few displays of puzzles. Here you could take a rest and enjoy the view outside.
And this is the largest among all puzzles! The Keith Haring Double Retrospect set, a 32,000-piece puzzle! It is installed on six pieces of plywood, and is 7 feet tall and 6 feet wide, weighing 42 pounds!
On the second level, you could find a souvenir shop where you could purchase your own puzzle! And of course there are also other items like t-shirt, mugs, shoes, key chains, etc.!
After the tour, we rest for a while on this couch overlooking their bed and breakfast resort.
They have a pool and rooms if you want to stay over night.

On the way out, there is this wishing well. LOL which of course we stopped by to make a wish for our 4th year! Hahaha, corny! Just kiddin' ! Actually we just take photos of ourselves there. I don't know why! ahahaha
And this is me, looking very happy at the front of the Mansion. tahaha.. I am just happy to spend this mini adventure with my babe on our 4th year! yay!
