Travelogue: Caleruega in TagaytayThursday, August 18, 2016
Seven or six years ago, my sisters rented a house in Silang, although after a year or so, we transferred to Noveleta Cavite and fast forward to today, we transferred back to Silang for some reasons. So last month, my family went on a weekend getaway to Tagaytay for some sort of family time or maybe we just missed that city. We went to Caleruega since we heard its a beautiful place for family outings. We woke very early so we could have some breakfast at the venue, little did we know, it opens at 7 AM. We arrived too early so we had to wait for the gates to open. While outside, we chatted with one of the security guards who happened to be a fellow Ilonggo. He even let us in without a fee. Yaay for that! Thanks Manong! :)
When we went there, they were having some wedding preparation for one of their clients so we haven't really entered into their chapels and other amenities. The chapel though was very pretty. It feels like we were transported back in time and/or in a story book. Every corner was charming and so Instagram worthy.
We spent a couple of hours exploring the vicinity including a short hike up to their prayer chapel on top of the hill. The view up there is absolutely beautiful. Other areas were equally gorgeous like the camping grounds, hanging bridge, the gardens, etc. We totally enjoyed touring around. It's definitely not only a place for weddings and team building but also for family bonding and fellowship. We hope to visit again. (^-^)
