Hongkong is a concrete jungle and is actually a shopping haven in Asia. I mean other Asian countries have shopping districts as well but HongKong is some sort of a melting pot of all sort. It is also where you can find some of the biggest luxury stores in the world. Other than shopping, Hongkong has a lot more to offer. Infact, the possible course of experiences are limitless. One can go on a traditional and cultural tours, visit temples and olden times inspired parks, go on a food hunt, then there's the amusement parks for the youngsters as well as, for the young at heart. As for the first-timers, it'll be probably difficult to make decision to which places to see once you landed at this country. Hongkong Disneyland is every child's dream. I mean we've all been wishing to at least step into the so-called happiest place on earth, once our lifetime right? It is the perfect place to turn that childhood dreams into reality. Enjoy a handful of musical shows, amusing parades, hundreds of thrilling rides and have a magical encounter with your favourite disney characters.
The Hongkong Ocean Park is a marine mammal themed + amusement park integrated as one! A zoo and an amusement park at the same time? Why not! This is the best place to bring your entire family for some educational tour, extreme rides, and/or simply for bonding time.
The Peak is a major tourist attraction in Hongkong that offers views over Central Hongkong, Victoria Harbour, Lamma Island and the surrounding islands. Take a tram ride going up here and don't forget to take a selfie once it passes through a 45% slope! It was a bit scary especially if you'll learn that the tram is being ran by magnets alone, but it was totally fun. Victoria Peak is also a place for some fine dining with an incredible view of Hongkong's city line.
4. Mongkok Night Market
Looking for omiyage / pasalubong / gift ? Mongkok Night Market is the place to be. It hosts a number of famous, interesting and tourist friendly street markets. It is where you can find most of the cheapest goodies to bring back home for your family and friends. They have stalls of bargain clothing, flower shops, bird and goldfish market, and a whole lot more.
Nan Lian Garden is a gem at the heart of Diamond Hill in Kowloon. It is 35,000 square meters zen garden with the prettiest trees, polished boulders, ponds, and a golden Pavilion of Perfection with bright orange Wu Bridge built in full timber!
6. Lantau Island

Lantau Island is the largest island in Hongkong. It is where the Ngong Ping 360 is --- one of the top tourist attractions in the island that offers a refreshing cultural and entertainment experience. To go here, take the Ngong Ping 360 cable car (with glass floor!) which connects to the Ngong Ping Village. It is also where the Tian Tan Buddha or commonly called the Big Buddha is located.
The world's largest floating restaurant! Jumbo floating restaurant is a fine dining restaurant with the most intricate and very Chinese architecture. The facade, and the interiors are so elaborate that would make you feel like some sort of a true royal. Although the food here are undeniably expensive, you can still visit the place and have a look around without reserving for a meal. Just hop into a boat, have your photos taken and that's it, for FREE!
8. Hongkong Central
The Hongkong Central square is where the most iconic buildings of Hongkong is. Here you can also do all sort of shopping and eat out at any restaurant -- modern, traditional or even fast-food chains. There's a lot of restaurants and shopping malls to find here. And some pretty pocket gardens as well.
